The scene on the flight deck of the frigate SAS President Pretorius, 78 miles south-west of Cape Point, where the
SAS President Kruger sank on the morning of the 18th February 1982.
At centre are 70 floral tributes that were ceremoniously committed to the sea, and formed around them are the ship’s company of the President Pretorius and representatives of all Naval commands and units throughout the Republic.
